Sherpa Vantage

Open Vantage. See what to fix today.

Vantage replaces the metric grid with a severity-ranked queue. Five listings worth your attention this week, each annotated with the specific lever to pull — title, photo, price, or policy. No fantasy revenue projections. No false alarms on listings priced premium on purpose. Just the next decision, named.

Use it standalone for Airbnb funnel diagnostics across your portfolio. Pair it with RateAlpha and Listing Studio and every finding becomes a one-click handoff to the right tool — diagnose, fix, measure, repeat.

What's inside

The Airbnb funnel data Airbnb won't give you, surfaced as a queue of what to fix today.

Diagnose, don't dump data

Open with what needs attention — not a grid of numbers.

Most analytics tools open with a grid of metrics and leave you to find the problem. Vantage opens with a ranked queue of listings worth your attention this week, each one annotated with the specific lever to pull. "Conversion 0.20% (0.32× peer median). RPI 0.63, ARI 1.08 — pricing is fine. Weakest funnel stage: search-to-listing. Investigate cover photo + title." That's the entire job: replace what's happening with what to do.

  • Severity-ranked queue across your whole Airbnb portfolio
  • Each finding cites observed metrics — no black-box scoring
  • Names the lever (photos, price, title, policy) instead of leaving you to guess

Premium positioning isn't a problem to fix

Knows the difference between weak conversion and intentional scarcity.

Your oceanfront listing converts at 0.02% — should you panic? Probably not. Vantage knows the difference between "weak conversion because the listing is broken" and "weak conversion because you priced it premium and it's working anyway." Premium-positioned listings whose revenue exceeds expectations get suppressed from the queue. On a sample portfolio today, four of nine flaggable listings are filtered out for exactly this reason — no false alarms on listings doing what they're meant to do.

  • Suppression logic for premium-positioned listings exceeding revenue targets
  • Peer median benchmarks segmented by bedroom count, neighborhood, price tier
  • Filters tunable per portfolio — your premium thresholds, not ours

Diagnose → fix → measure, closed loop

Every finding is one click from the right tool. Every action gets graded.

Funnel-stage drop-off determines the deep link. First-page issues route to the title editor. Click-through issues route to the photo workspace. Booking-stage issues route to the audit panel. Every action you log gets re-measured at 7, 14, and 28 days — and the priors get sharper over time as the system learns which kinds of changes move the needle on your portfolio specifically.

  • Per-finding deep links into Listing Studio (title, photo, audit) when present
  • Outcome history at 7 / 14 / 28 days for every logged action
  • Portfolio-specific priors that sharpen as you act on findings

Standalone or part of the suite

Each product earns its own keep. Together they sharpen each other.

Vantage delivers value on its own. It also gets sharper when paired with the rest of the suite.

Vantage alone

Funnel-health detector, peer benchmarks, severity-ranked action queue. Plug in your Airbnb host account and you're working.

Vantage + RateAlpha

Every finding gets revenue + pricing context (RPI / ARI / MPI). "Weak conversion" gets classified as content issue, overpricing, or underpricing — not left ambiguous.

+ Listing Studio

One click from a finding to the right editor — title, photo workspace, or audit panel — pre-loaded with the property. The action gets logged and re-measured automatically.

What we don't do

Things other STR analytics tools do — and why we don't.

We don't forecast specific dollar opportunity.

We tried. "$53,591/month leak" is fantasy: it assumes you'll close the gap, that demand is additive, and that conversion improvements don't shift impressions. None of those is true. We show observed gaps and let you act on them — we don't invent revenue you might earn.

We don't score every listing on the same curve.

Your premium oceanfront converts low by design. Treating it the same as a midline 1BR with broken photos wastes operator attention. Vantage suppresses premium-positioned listings whose revenue already exceeds expectations.

We don't treat pricing and content as separate problems.

A listing priced 35% above market with weak conversion isn't a photo problem. A listing priced at market with weak conversion isn't a pricing problem. Vantage looks at both before naming the lever.

Common objections

The questions we always get.

Is this just another dashboard?

No — that's the thing it's specifically not. Dashboards open with a metric grid and leave you to find the problem. Vantage opens with a ranked queue of listings worth your attention and names the lever to pull on each. If you want a metric grid, every page has one a click away. The default view is decisions, not data.

Do I need RateAlpha or Listing Studio for Vantage to work?

No. Vantage is fully standalone — funnel diagnostics, peer benchmarks, ranked queue. Adding RateAlpha gives findings revenue and pricing context (so "weak conversion" gets classified as content vs. pricing). Adding Listing Studio gives every finding a one-click handoff to the right editor. Each product earns its own keep.

How does the peer benchmarking work?

Peers are matched on bedroom count, neighborhood, and price tier — not just "all listings in the city." An oceanfront 4BR isn't compared to an inland 1BR. Benchmarks update weekly and you can tune the segment filters per portfolio so premium thresholds reflect your operation, not a generic market.

How often does the funnel data refresh?

Daily. Vantage scrapes the host-side Airbnb Conversions data on a schedule and stores it in your own database, with historical retention well past what Airbnb's dashboard shows. Refreshes are visible in the UI so you know how fresh each finding is.

What about portfolios with lots of premium-positioned listings?

Premium suppression is the default behavior — listings whose revenue exceeds peer expectations get filtered out of the queue even if their conversion looks weak in isolation. On a sample portfolio today, four of nine flaggable listings are suppressed for exactly that reason. Tune the threshold per portfolio if your definition of "premium" differs from ours.
